Accounting for hospitality businesses
Cafes, restaurants, cloud kitchens, gyms and hotels — POS and card settlements, multi-outlet books and a month-end you can see, entity by entity.
CASE STUDY
Monthly controllership for a multi-entity cafe and gym group
A UAE hospitality and wellness group of more than a dozen entities, including cafes and gyms
The challenge
Revenue came through several card, POS and payment clearing accounts, costs were spread across corporate cards and many entities, and inter-company balances and fees had to be worked every month.
What we did
- A 13-activity month-end checklist per entity — clearing accounts, bank and inter-company reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, inventory and vendor statements
- Every task tracked company by company with an owner, a status and proof of completion
- P&L reviewed for chart-of-accounts correctness each month
The result
The client received a month-end checklist each month showing, for each entity, what was done, who did it and the evidence behind it.

Why WeareZO
A close that keeps up with busy outlets
Hospitality runs on thin margins and many small transactions. We keep the reconciliations current so you can see each outlet's real numbers.
Your account manager tracks every entity's close and shows you what's done.

More from this industry
Clearing suspense and rebuilding a cloud kitchen's books
An Indian cloud kitchen run as an LLP, selling through food-delivery platforms
An investor needed reliable financials, but the bank account had many unexplained (suspense) entries and transactions that might have been missed.
- Worked from a 12-month consolidated bank statement and the partners' clarification sheets
- Cleared suspense items according to the client's instructions, holding those the client asked to keep open
- Prepared a month-on-month cash-basis P&L and balance sheet to bring out missed transactions
Result: Month-on-month cash-basis financials were prepared for the client to submit to its investor.
